Chest X-ray

Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths worldwide.

For this reason, the introduction of annual chest X-ray screening can play a significant role in preserving the health of employees. Although the chest X-ray is considered a relatively old technology, it is still a reliable and cost-effective method with low radiation dose, that can give an accurate picture of the state of the lungs. It is able to identify such early-stage changes that do not yet cause symptoms, so the detected problems - including lung cancer - are much more likely to be cured if they are recognized in time.

This screening is especially critical for companies where workers may come into contact with hazardous materials, such as asbestos or other carcinogens, as long-term exposure to these increases the risk of certain respiratory diseases, including lung cancer. However, with regular X-rays, signs of pneumonia, tuberculosis or even pulmonary fibrosis can be detected in time, the early treatment of which is essential to avoid more serious complications and inability to work.
